The hotel is right in the centre of tiny Mandal, making it convenient for exploring the charming cobblestone streets and old part of the city. Despite being a small hotel, the rooms had two couches, which added an extra level of comfort. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. The breakfast, included in the price, was a delightful start to the day.

It was a surprise to find hot food at the breakfast buffet. The hotel was close to all the amenities. We had our own entrance and key to the outer door so didn't need to go through reception everytime we went in or out. It is a small hotel, quite basic though quaint. It was fine for our purpose.

The bathroom, although clean, did have an offensive smell coming from the drains. We were above the outer door which slammed shut when people went in and out and as we were above the street it was quite noisy so we had to use earplugs at night.

The rooms are well-maintained and equipped with small electric portable heaters to keep you warm during colder days. Spent Easter at a comfortable hotel with alright rooms, although not the best I have seen. the location is quite good, in a charming area that has several street shops and great cafes nearby. Loved the breakfast and the fact that there was a variety of fresh fruit on offer. the staff was friendly and attentive to our needs.

The parking arrangements were terrible, and we had to leave the car in a public garage which was quite far from the hotel. the pillows were not very comfortable, which made it difficult to fall asleep.
